Honey, you were with me until this morning and our parting was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Excitement blended with sorrow at leaving you for so long, blended with the prospect of meeting so many good, kind people, combined with…..you name it. Damn. I’m 58 years old and married to you for almost 40 years. And yet I still have the same emotions as when we were back in college when I had to leave you for more than just a few days.
Without you I would not be me. I love you.
And now for the rest of you, your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider rode into Crescent City, Oregon this evening. I stayed at a KOA (great places), and while doing this entry had the privilege to meet a wonderful couple. This, after meeting yet another wonderful couple back in Lincoln City!! Here in Crescent City Dan walked over and introduced himself. We talked about motorcycles, this effort, and he had to call his wife Patty over. Your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful time with both of them, talking bikes, loved ones, and of course why finding a cure is so important. And….they invited me for breakfast in the morning!
