The Memorial Foundation was founded by Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in 1989, and has demonstrated unique leadership in collaboration and creative resource development and community partnerships.
Retired Seattle Police Motorcycle Officer Dean Shirey has partnered with The Memorial Foundation’s efforts targeted to cancer research and cancer patient care via North Star Lodge – Yakima Memorial Hospital, Yakima, WA.
Dean is taking a 16,000 mile motorcycle ride around the perimeter of the United States, starting May 28th, 2013, to raise funds for national cancer research being conducted at North Star Lodge – Yakima Memorial Hospital, WA. Their efforts benefit everyone fighting cancer.
Additionally, funds Dean’s motorcycle cancer ride raises will benefit North Star cancer patients through assistance with the many expenses related to their cancer treatment.
North Star Lodge is nationally recognized for their efforts in the fight against cancer. They participate in 30 to 40 cancer clinical trials annually – targeting all types of cancer.
