Dateline Monterey California, day 2. Larry Severance, a best friend of Your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider, arrived yesterday evening to hang out and ride with me awhile. Larry’s bike went Tango on him. We couldn’t figure it out, so we got it towed. The driver, Jeremy, was a whiz, and deduced that it was a shorted out battery. He towed him to an Interstate Battery dealer in Salinas, where we met Bobby, the owner.
Turns out Bobby’s daughter just graduated from college in Fort Kent, Maine, just a stone’s throw from Madawaska…..where your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider will meet the Northeastern point of America. Another “End Of America To End Cancer”!
We got back on the road for a nice day ride to Carmel. The beach is fine, white sand, the surf is warm, and it is a beautiful place indeed.
Tomorrow we leave for Santa Barbara! Your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider has talked to many, many people about this effort while on the road. Their comments and support are overwhelming. America’s Perimeter Tour is still in its infancy, but success is guaranteed through your support, prayers, and well wishes.
