The Aliens Return, A Retired Airline Pilot / Fellow Biker Steps In, And Three Wonderful Ladies Support Cancer Ride America

Dateline Somewhere North of Key West Florida. Your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider left Key West today to continue his journey North along Florida’s East coastline. But there is only one way in and one way out of Key West. That being Highway 1 of course. Apparently my NASA friend was unaware that the alien presence here on Earth uses earthly technology…in fact what some would consider very old earthly technology, to maintain surveillance on those they are interested in. You will recall that I had left my tin foil hat back in Louisiana after having been assured it was no longer needed once NASA became aware of my situation.

Well my friends, Yours Truly was riding along minding my own business, contemplating where the end of the day would bring me, and I looked over my shoulder for some reason. This is what I saw.

Surveillance Blimp 1

I was startled to say the least and immediately took evasive action onto a side street off of Highway 1 so as to take cover and obtain this photographic evidence. I made a ‘U’ turn (any motor cop understands that you always want to park facing in the direction you will escape) at a driveway and parked close up against the trees hedges. As I was taking the shot and debating what to do next, a booming voice behind me says “Can I help you?” I jumped ten feet in the air, and upon landing met Jim.
Jim And His Indian

Turns out Jim lives in the home I had parked in front of. He is a retired airline pilot and collector / restorer of motorcycles. I told him I was obtaining my evidence and he explained that I needn’t worry. This is a surveillance blimp indeed, but is put up by our own national security forces to monitor the area for illegal aliens, drug runners, pirates, and other nefarious individuals. WHEWWW!! Was I glad to hear that! And I felt even better when he told me that his wife is a Doctor.

Jim is a fantastic guy. We talked about this ride and what it means and he invited me into his garage to see his bikes. He’s got a really nice Harley, a big Kawasaki, and this Indian that he restored from the ground up. It was a real privilege to be allowed to sit on it for this picture.

Me On Jims Indian

And Jim told me his mother had passed at a very young age from cancer. She had repeatedly gone to her local and trusted Doctor and had remained undiagnosed until it was too late. He is going to send her on this ride. Jim, it is my honor to have your mother join the Angels on my shoulder.

I have to say that the people I meet, even if just casually, never cease to amaze me. I was a cop for 35 years….it takes a lot to amaze me.

While checking out this morning I was talking to the hotel clerk Micheall and Sarah and Ines came in and joined into the conversation. This is where Your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider gets misty whenever this happens. When I commented that I had just never yet talked to anyone not affected by cancer, they all three got “the look” on their faces, and Sarah nodded. Sadly, yet more people who have been touched. I hope you three will send me your Angels and that they can be with me throughout this ride. And your willingness to open your hearts and support Cancer Ride America with your donations is more appreciated than words can express.

Ride On,
C.C.R.
