Cancer Cure Rider’s Most Excellent Niagara Adventure – Dude!

Dateline Niagara Falls, New York: Yours Truly promised to tell you about my adventures at the Falls, and so it shall be. Upon my arrival, turns out, it was learned by the local police that Your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider was on the premises. And, I saw this:

And so I met with the good Sergeant and he gave me a brief tour of Niagara Falls. The Sergeant is highly trained and extremely skilled and practiced in Marine rescue, so we had a lot in common.

What magnificent beauty in nature!

While talking with him he learned that I was going to take a tour on the Maid Of The Mist. He told me that there have been times that the less than stable have walked right by the phone, boarded the Maid, and then jumped at the appropriate time. He partnered me up with Emily for some training, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

And then I boarded the Maid Of The Mist. What an unbelievable view of the falls, up close and personal. At one point they parked the boat in the “mist”. In fact it was as heavy a rain as any that I experienced in Key West or elsewhere. CRAP! How come I’m always getting wet? Maybe my Seattleite webbed feet are a giveaway? Well, at least the guy who looked like he was going to jump saw me watching him and changed his mind, so I got wet from the “mist”. At least it wasn’t yet another water rescue.

Anyway, a very fun day at Niagara Falls, where I met a lot of people and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Mission Control and I will most definitely return to this beautiful Wonder Of The World.

Ride On,
