Dateline Panama City Beach – On The Beach. Today Your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider is absolutely overwhelmed with joy! Mission Control has informed me that Travis, one of my Angel Riders, has been declared cured!!! He underwent 2 surgery, went through a bunch of tests, and has been declared CANCER FREE! If ever a nice, young gentleman deserves this, Travis does. Well done young man. You kept your chin up, your spirits high, fought the good fight and have won the battle. Our collective prayers to God have been answered. Thank you Lord!!
With your permission sir, Your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider shall continue to carry your photograph for inspiration.
For those new to my BLOG, you can read more about Travis’ story in thie BLOB post and on his Facebook page referenced in my post:

And so today Yours Truly is dedicating a day off to Travis. I slept in, went and found some coffee, picked up a beach towel, and headed for the Gulf for some swim and sun. Travis……You were in my thoughts and prayers the entire time. The water was azure blue and just cool enough without being cold. The sun was out, but it was not too hot. Amazing! And it’s all your fault! Or is that “It’s all because we can celebrate”!!
So I followed the local traditions……Get Hot, Get Wet, Lather, Rinse, Dry Off In The Sun, Repeat As Needed. And Your Intrepid Cancer Cure Rider did. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll be telling you about how easily a Northwesterner gets sunburn. Or perhaps not. We shall see how well the SPF 50 held up.
Tomorrow I ride again. For Jason’s mother Deborah.
Ride On,
C.C.R.
Late addition: Uh Oh. Looks like Yours Truly forgot to put sun screen on his ankles and feet. As the sun sets, they are beginning to glow. And sting. WHERE IS MISSION CONTROL WHEN YOU NEED HER??!!
Love the picture of you in the gulf. Let me tell you about the water buffalo scene. It is exactly what you are doing in the gulf, only with a cold long neck beer the top of which is about 1″ above sea level.
What a great and meaningful journey you are having. It’s meaningful for all of us following you!
I knew something was missing!
You all warned me that it would be Interesting” Boy has it the ever!! Still fighting the heat and a sore back though.
